Just finished Ray Dalio’s latest book and he wrote this fairy tale chapter which would rectify the US Debt problem - running a deficit of only 3% gdp. We looking at 6  - 9% for the foreseeable future. 

He spent the whole picture painting a dismal image of not only the US, but also the Chinese debt bubble, and ended it as if we have competent lawmakers.

But Dalio knows they are incapable of delivering that. Why is he pursing his lips. He even stated that we are just near ( not at) a point of no return..

Idk. His soft tone in the final chapter seems to indicate optimism. He said we are near a point of no return, not that we are here or we’ve already gone off. He spoke softly. I don’t feel he was being honest about the macro condition. His numbers were honest.

I think there’s no question that he is scared of Trump. I think he wouldn’t have held his tongue had it been anyone else. Shameful.
