I can understand the hesitation, but honestly feel like Ive is generational. Apple didn't get where they got without his DNA in everything. And totally agree that his recent significance hasn't matched the Apple era, but I don't know that that's the right measure of his legacy. His design philosophy fundamentally changed how we interface with technology. Simplifying complexity into approachable, seemingly obvious form factors reshaped consumer expectations, and while computers don't have a super long history of UX, humans and technology do. Ive's work with Apple is a pillar of modern industrial design language, and his influence is in almost all "tech" we UX with. Personally I don't think many people can legitimately claim to have so profoundly altered both their field and everyday consumer experiences worldwide. IMO he's up there with Job, Rams, Raymond Lowry, but also people like Claude Shannon. Frfr But also I might just be a stan ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
