Israeli-U.S. group responsible for what Doctors Without Borders calls "slaughter masquerading as humanitarian aid" expresses frustration that Palestinians keep dying before it can help them. Even more galling, some of the surviving Palestinians have returned some of the "aid" GHF has distributed. https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/latest/gaza-humanitarian-foundation-aid-distribution-system-must-be-dismantled

I often wonder how the world of the 1930s would have responded if the Nazis had used the same excuses that Israel uses today. I donβt think the greatest generation would have suffered that shit for as long as we have.

Wasn't there quite a lot of appeasement of Nazi Germany up until the invasion of Poland? And I don't think it was until Pearl Harbor that the U.S. public reached anything resembling consensus on joining WWII? It seems to me a big difference is that Nazi actions were increasingly seen through the lens of fascist expansionism and totalitarianism, while Israeli government actions today are often seen through the lens of Judeo-Christian Zionism, through the lens of Holocaust guilt, and/or through the lens of post-9/11 anti-Muslim sentiment.
