/hottakes AI art is NOT art and you are definitely NOT an artist or creator if thats the only way you “make art” because YOU are not creating anything. you are asking code to create a mod podge of stolen art from REAL artists AI algorithms dont know what it is to make art, it is just taught what to steal and immitate when someone prompts it with something that matches an image in its database it is stolen and soulless if you disagree, feel free to argue with your momma - an artist

Who are you to gatekeep what is and what is not art? With all due respect you clearly have a very shallow understanding of what artists are doing with AI

whatever people may be doing with AI, it doesn’t change the fact that its image generation comes from taking art from artists i would never gatekeep art, but prompt engineering is not art by definition

there’s a lot more to AI art than just “prompt engineering” Please look into artists like Claire Silver, Sofia Crespo, Anne Spalter, Pinder Van Arman, Devi Parikh, just to name a few There are many artists that started experimenting with ai art before chatgpt was even invented. Frankly it’s pretty belittling to say what these artists are doing is not art
