Oh damn, that's a hard one since there were so many... For me, it was the realization that right now is the best moment to build things in web3. Tech is mature. Zero bull market noise. Community is still small and you can access anyone. Very little competition from non-speculative projects. Entrepreneur's dream.

Small market makes it hard for entrepreneurs. Few ways to make money.

Depends on the time horizon :) IMO bear market crypto is a small market with a 10-100X growth potential in the next 5 years. So if you're building with this horizon in mind, it makes sense. Plus people in crypto spend a lot of money, so you don't need that many users to make a living (kind of like B2B SaaS).

Depends. The main business model to date has been speculation. Multi year time horizons okay if you’re well funded and can whether the storm. Tough ride right now. Even for those with capital.

Agree it's tough, got some friends who don't have funding anymore and had to sunset their projects. Good news is you can also bootstrap/keep the project v. small/transform it into a side project. I believe if you prioritize surviving and learning about the market for a long time, it's gonna pay off one way or another.
