‘40 Acres’ is a lean post-apocalyptic B-movie that doesn’t get bogged down in world-building. The premise: they want what we have, and no one’s coming to help. With no star power, it feels a bit light for theaters, but the mom’s cathartic, no-bullshit lines sparked a fun crowd response you won’t get at home

I didn't think I was familiar with her, but, after, I discovered I knew her from 'Till'. She's a force.
This movie had some pretty cheesy moments, but, A. that's just the kind of movie it is, so it's fine, and B. it kept giving her opportunities to voice what we were all thinking, which the audience loved.

Now I’m even more curious to watch the movie😅
