‘Life of Chuck’ is a smart, surprising take on what it means to live… that will confuse the hell out of boomers. A shame, since the schmaltz should be up Boomer Alley. If you trust the process and pay attention, you’ll be rewarded with a unique, charming film that many have called “the whitest shit ever.”

What about it will confuse the boomers? "The whitest shit ever" sounds like the perfect tagline for that demographic

If you watch the trailer you come away having no idea what the movie is about — just that it’s got a sort of sentimentality. I don’t want to post spoilers, so I’ll just say that it has an unorthodox story structure and sci-fi element that is intentionally confusing so that the moment of revelation hits hard.

Ah, the old "we don't know how to market this movie, so we'll just bait and switch the audience on vibes" marketing tactic.

Exactly. I caught an early “mystery movie” screening. I didn’t see this firsthand, but I read that a lot of people in other such screenings saw people walking out midway through. I understand why. This is not a movie for everyone. But the people it actually is for will really enjoy it. If they can understand it.
