đš#ETH Vitalik Buterin and Toni Wahrstätter have jointly proposed (https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/pull/9984/files) EIP-7983, a draft Ethereum Improvement Proposal that introduces a protocol-level cap on maximum gas usage per transaction, set at 16.77 million gas (2²â´).
