so ppl share things on social media that isnβt theirs all the time but itβs actually illegal. but these days we accept it bc most ppl donβt make much of a splash, and very likely donβt make much money from sharing other pplβs content on social media. most of the time the original creator wonβt say anything bc ppl sharing their post increases their visibility. this becomes way more complex when the reposter *makes money* from someone elseβs content. the original creator may get nothing, and therefore they can sue. they prob wonβt, and over here on FC there arenβt enough ppl yet for this to be a problem, but if this app or this tendency to monetise posts continues, and ppl end up making a lot of money on other pplβs content, it can be a huge legal headache in the future.
