My claim about new/young progressives and leftists being more realistic and accepting of the adoption of AI is biased by my own experiences. Some actual polling data would be interesting

Unfortunately it's both. Old fart liberals have a lot more % in being anti-AI but also many genuine leftists are too.

Fwiw the concern around stolen data is true, especially for visual gen. it's pretty lame how that just got accepted among the tech circles.
