It’s possible that some DAOs will be enabled by an ai agent but…I disagree with the sentiment. When Vitalik was talking about automation at the center of DAOs, he wasn’t talking about ai agents IMHO. They can help, but DAOs are a bit too bleeding edge for LLMs to ā€œrunā€ them. It’s more likely to me that ai agents will be used to connect people/other agents to the DAO.

I always hated the X at the core Y at the edges thing. It’ll be symbiosis. Humans at the core setting vision/values via smart contracts (also at the core) that AI (at the core) is trained on to distribute tokens in alignment to it all. We’re all at the core together and we (and the agents) are at the edges too.

I like the idea of DAOs voting on proposals to unleash a prompt on @bankr or something like that. That would be cool. Save the steps of multi call proposals that are often left to the people that know how to build the transactions.

The debate over what the meaning of ā€œautonomousā€ is in DAOs has been going on for a while. It’s the duality of DAOs. Auto=automatic or autonomous as in freedom. I tend to lean into the second because if he meant the first, wouldn’t he have just said automatic. @vitalik.eth can you settle this debate once and for all?
