I think “top crypto platforms” is a bit reductive. The real point is: people are much more likely to hold something they’ve actually invested in, compared to something they got for free.

That also hinges on the thing not being an overvalued scam. Actually quite the opposite these things were undervalued at the start. So a founder would have to give up higher valuation on his own bag (and his investors) to achieve the same thing
