Chasing money is the most socially accepted form of self-destruction. You trade time, soul, and relationships for numbers on a screen. And guess what? Science backs it up. Kahneman & Deaton (2010) proved that after ~$75K/year, more income doesn’t make you happier. Killingsworth (2021) added nuance but still showed: money without meaning is just anxiety with a bank account. We’re not wired for infinite accumulation. We’re wired for purpose, presence, and connection. Everything else is a dopamine trap dressed as ambition. So ask yourself are you getting rich, or just getting lost?
