Most male children are usually at loggerheads with their dads until they get to that stage and realize the man had a lot of unsaid pains and struggles and then they find themselves in the same situation and begin to feel the guilt. Fathers don't get enough credit and they don't care much about it. But truth be told, they make sacrifices too. Unseen, not loud ones.

A lot of men including myself only start to understand their fathers once they become one or hit the same storms. The silent sacrifices, the swallowed emotions it all starts to make sense. Respect to the dads who held it down in ways words never captured.

The act of fierceness and the proof of being the head and the silent emotions they try to cover up all make sense when you get there or hit the same storm as you said.
