The color is stunning! You should definitely plant one. They can grow very big in the right conditions. Big enough for kids to climb.

You are probably right. I do think you can buy mini bonsai style Japanese maples. That would solve the space issue but the roof climate🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve looked into it but I only do container gardens on my rooftop. And I don’t think the micro climates on my roof would weather well for these plants.
