i take issue with your framing it "proof of work" proof of work is a blockchain mechanism, ensuring cryptoeconomic fairness in a decentralized system - farcaster is not a blockchain, it's not cryptoeconomic, and it's not decentralized. it's an open p2p data network propped up by merkle that would not subsist without them.

Can I say life requires proof of work then? Like you get out of it what you put in. The farcaster requires proof of work came from earlier days where the people who were most actively tinkering, building, connecting, writing, etc got the most benefits But I hear your point that saying it might be too generous given the blockchain context
