Passkey-only web wallets will win out in the end. No social login. Incredible experience. https://x.com/willhennessy_/status/1785694723040043415

One thing to be aware of is that practically speaking Passkey-based logins are not censorship resistant because each Passkey is explicitly tied with a domain name. One takedown notice can lock you out of your wallet if it doesn’t have a fallback.

Have you used passkeys on windows recently? Rough experience. If crypto's pitch to the world is "tap login, pull up your phone, open the camera app, scan a qr code, face id, login" i think i would prefer web2 login.. Final take - given a choice, i choose a largeBlob EOA passkey over SCW for most apps

Thoughts on what we lose with the fully embedded smart account? In the example, I mint the collectible, but is it now effectively locked in that apps embedded wallet?

Biggest concern I have with the passkey as the actual wallet is cross device. Apple mostly solves this, but there are still edge cases which could result in users totally losing their wallet. In general I think it's better for the passkey to be a signer on a smart wallet or via MPC.

I was able to do this on Kinto's UI. It was super smooth and really easy
