digital art as NFTs has financial aspects to it, but unfortunately it does not have onchain PMF. tiny volume and little demand.

Legitimately curious, how exactly do you define pmf? Obviously you factor a specific volume threshold into it but curious to know what that is I've always subscribed to the more general "being in a good market with a product that can satisfy that market" definition https://x.com/RogerDickerman/status/1918296113276244050?t=bURVeCZsqayAJZv2nZ6CvA&s=19

Digital art has repeatedly seen face ripping demand tho (i was there for it on multiple occasions and literally produced the $91M pak merge release that did $150k in sales per second when it went live) We have seen continued high demand sales events on primary and seconday as well over the last half decade Obvi not going to convince you that digital art has pmf - to each their own - just more surprised you set the bar to define it so high

Those are tulip-y speculation bubbles. There's no sustained volume after. Tokens have PMF - gargantuan CEXs, stablecoin issuers, insane volumes, and even strong volumes in bear markets.

Yeah I think the CEX example is actually helpful here Certain CEXs (eg CB, Binance) having PMF while others don't is similar to how certain artists (eg xcopy, sam spratt, matt kane, skygolpe), each with their own unique markets, have found PMF and been able to not only sustain but grow demand/primaryband secondary sales for their work even during down markets not to mention increase in institutional adoption

bro I just realized you are the inverse kramer of digital art literally every time you step in to share your surprisingly stubborn L takes on the subject, some massive sale or news breaks right after appreciate the hell out of what you're doing for art & culture🫑 https://x.com/nodefnd/status/1922291376533995555

lmfao what does "2021 NFTS" even mean? also doesn't refute what I said about artist-specific markets that have found fit with collectors and institutions there are markets (plural) with product (rare and limited edition digital art) that have sustained and increasing demand for them over time case in point a "2021 NFT" I scooped for 0.5eth then that continues to see sustained and increasing bids (currently 8 eth/20k) 4 years later https://opensea.io/assets/ethereum/0xa7d8d9ef8d8ce8992df33d8b8cf4aebabd5bd270/215000196
