I’m going on my first bachelorette party sober this weekend! Also my first bachelorette party ever but that’s not the point. I’m 2.5 years sober and things like this still make me nervous. When I was younger I imagined these events would look a lot different. Listen, I am still the life of the party. That hasn’t changed. But sobriety has its ups and downs and these events take a lot of prep and mindfulness now. Will of course keep all of my new internet friends updated but please send good vibes 💖

congrats on 2.5 years! 

im only a little over 2 months atm and i did my first big social event - farcon nyc, sober. felt very much the same like you mentioned. it was terrifying 😶‍🌫️ but i was mostly ok now that i look back at it.
