Electric Dreams: Art and Technology Before the Internet – Tate Catalogue, 2024 I would say a fairly essential edition to the library of anyone interested generative art, optical, kinetic and programmed art. I enjoyed the show, which which drew a wide arc and gave some lesser known figures and movements the recognition they deserved. The (permutational) poet and calligrapher Brion Gysin was one and the movement/magazine Radical Software being another. As usual some more impressions below.

Yeah I had the same 'problem'. It was e x t e n s i v e and there were lots of details to get trapped inside. Alongside the fact that some of the artworks require/d a significant amount of viewing time to really get the most out of them and, indeed, to experience what the artist was trying to achieve. Glad I picked up the catalogue. A lot in it there was not explored in the show.
