Remember in 2016 when people were outraged that a social media algorithm could, maybe, possibly have influenced a US Presidential election?

And then in 2024 the world’s richest man purchased one of the largest social media platforms, and then overtly used its algorithm to support his preferred candidate in a US Presidential election and everyone thought it was fine.
