Nouns is not a DAO under the absolute rule of 2-3 people, it's just an awkwardly structured VC fund. I am with @eusoujp on this one

i think its weird/pointless to argue that "people should behave differently" its not like they used illicit means to take control -- they bought nouns thru the distribution mechanism, something anyone can do but very few are willing to if i had 200 nouns, the dao would very much be under my control -- maybe i would use other means to get my will thru, but effectively it would be a very similar situation so id propose to funnel the energy in other ways: - consider what would be a better mechanism design for nouns or a nouns-like project - buy nouns to gain and rebalance control

(tbf, i used to see this differently back in the poap/willprice days so i have some understanding of the mindset, i just no longer think its fruitful)

@krel, if my statement gave just a little bit of hope to at least one builder who might have been discouraged from continuing to build, then the energy was worth spending I'm not here to tell anyone how to behave, if you read my text carefully, you'll see I only asked for empathy 🙂 actually, I shared it because I've spent the last three years way more focused on building than on sharing my thoughts

Very few people have the finances to buy 200 nouns, but agree that arguing with the controlling voting block is probably less effective than building something better. The more AI advances, the cheaper it’ll be to prioritize doing over arguing.

not saying they're breaking any rules, and i think more financial sustainability is needed i just disagree with their approach and am trying to help them see another path forward. spending most of my time building alternative mechanisms /vrbs /flows but they're making my life much harder :/
