I'm noticing lots of people start sharing ko-fi or similar services to support them this one linked received over 13755 coffees of $5 with stripe fees it's about $4.55 per single transaction received if we assume all of them were separate and all of them were one time, otherwise there's an extra 5% ko-fi fee $68,755 total spent by supporters $62,585 received by creator $6,169 ends up purely in stripe corporate pockets and I guess shared with visa/mastercard etc. networks and banks blockchain solves this https://x.com/sentdefender/status/1965610276536852510

The issue with blockchain isn't sending funds. It's the ramp off. People wants their fiat instantly without friction.

I think right now there's less friction when you use the best tools

If you're paying creator can try coinbase pay or something else that gets the funds from credit cards to creator in USDC, from there creator can send it fee fry to any bank through coinbase with no fees

The 2% total fees is nice yes, can't say otherwise. Tbh if I haven't been banned from Coinbase after 6 years without explanation, I could have recommend this solution I've created a Kofi account to try the onboarding process. No KYC. No questions asked to know where the money come from. Just a single purpose, it's easy, no need for all Coinbase options

You don't have to use coinbase there are many other ways now to do banking on base like https://app.fluidkey.com/, can get a spending card easily with none or close to 0 load up fees gnosis pay, moonwell etc. With Ko-fi you don't need KYC until you connect paypal/stripe and provide all the necessary details there but there's a higher chance it can get blocked than USDC in your wallet

I need to try fluidkey, on my todolist for too long Tbf, the space has improved a lot these past years. But PayPal is here for longer than Coinbase on payment, it's everywhere. And Kofi has this "cool" aura that CB doesn't have. Yet, maybe?

I may be working on a better solution similar to kofi, coinbase is just an exchange Also if you don't get many donations you can buy gift cards, top up apple etc. with USDC you get on base without any sign up KYC etc.
