Caster Rewards update

Starting this week — June 3rd to June 10th

1. Increased the recipient pool by 18% from 2,530 to 3,000

2. Increased the prize pool by 45% from $20,000 to $29,010 

3. Changes to tiers — top tier is now $600, new middle tier between $125 and $30

Rewards Algo Update

We're also updating the rewards algo this week

We're no longer going to count deleted casts, reactions, recasts or replies. This means in some cases, people will see scores go down mid-week.

We're also making a few other tweaks. Change will roll out later today. 

The algo is never going to be perfect, but the goal is to reward high signal top-level content on the network—from anyone!

Why is the algo blackbox and not open source?

Because open source algos are trivially gamed.

Is Pro considered in the caster rewards algo?

No.

This is good . The latter point is a good way to show everyone Farcaster is for everyone .
