some founders just love shipping but instead they need to bring users manually, one by one

Absolutely. That’s why it’s so important to start early and treat your first users like co-founders. The fact is When you do that, you’re not just launching a product, you’re building a colony. By the time you ship, you don’t just have hype, you have people who built with you, people who care. I actually heard this idea on a @bfg cast. Worth checking out, it’s on /buildbetter.

> How to Treat Someone Like a Co-Founder 1. Include them in big-picture decisions 2. Share the long-term vision and roadmap 3. Give them ownership of a core area (not just tasks) 4. Make them part of strategy meetings 5. Be transparent with progress, setbacks, and finances 6. Let them represent the brand externally 7. Offer autonomy and trust in execution 8. Share recognition and credit publicly 9. Align incentives (tokens, profit share, etc.) 10. Give equity or promise it with clear terms > When to Drop Equity 1. They contribute significantly over time (not short-term help) 2. Their role is critical to product, growth, or fundraising 3. They work full-time or give up other paid opportunities 4. They show long-term commitment and emotional investment 5. You trust them enough to vest ownership over 2–4 years
