Trusts are weird. I get it for inheritance when the kids are minors but it’s weird that I can divorce-proof my kids long after I’m gone. Smart contracts are helping me get over this but the idea that the dead can dictate the future for the living is kinda mind bending & intuitively feels dumb or arrogant outside the smart contracts context.

devil's advocate: smart contracts don't really help b/c by the tiem you are dead, most likely those servers, software, networks won't be around. so, the security is psychological beyond some point. storage of the decision tho / a proof of it, offchain, may end up being the better way.

we think about this a lot. specifically how common it seems to be for the generation that instantiates the trust to not bring the generation of beneficiaries to the table early enough
