I'm a big believer that terms actually matter! e.g. pitching "frames v2" to developers outside of Farcaster was noticeably more difficult than "mini app" and telling people to download "Warpcast" when hearing about Farcaster was confusing. So might be a similar situation where "airdrop" is a mismatch in expectations

“Starter Drops”

What’s the real value prop of FC token drops? It’s that here, giving out tokens is just the *start* of something, not the end-all-be-all.

- The start of a user using a new App.
- The start of a new team being part of FC.

And it can be small. $7 is not weird… it’s the start of something.

Thinking the name should align to the goal since they vary so widely but starter drop could cover most of them 🙌

Targeted awareness
Decentralization/governance
Liquidity/market creation 
Rerto to early supporters
Warming cold-start network effects
Building an ecosystem  
….

It’s super interesting to me that MerkleM is ‘dropping’ Rewards- seem like a better fit in a few cases.

All great points. 

The thing that’s compelling to me is — everyone here wants this to be a “start” for whoever drops. 

We want teams who want to genuinely stick around and invest their time here.
