how were the earnings distributed among creators?

the question always come back to the same thing:

when you're building a platform that's supposed to reward creators, does it reward creators based on the value they created on the platform, or is the reward skewed toward those who get the most attention (regardless of value)

web2 is based on rewarding attention (while extracting massive profits)

we have years of data now to know how bad this system is for anything from children's mental health, to social polarization, to a breakdown institutional trust and sensemaking

recreating the same dynamics in web3 but in a slightly different package doesn't solve anything

we need systems that reward people for the value they create

..and if well funded orgs like Merkle or Base don't prioritize this, well, then we'll just have to do it on our own
