Beyond timing, product, and team, I believe the critical factor for onchain reputation success is integration with real economic incentives. Reputation only matters when it directly connects to opportunities, rewards, or access. We've seen this with Base integrating our Builder Score into their rewards program - builders care because it's tied to real value, not just a vanity metric. As for onchain social adoption, we're in the "useful, not mainstream" phase. I don't think we need mass adoption for reputation systems to work - we need targeted utility for specific communities first. The inflection point will come when developers can build reputation-enabled apps without understanding the underlying blockchain technology, and when users receive clear benefits (like airdrops, access, or opportunities) based on their verified contributions rather than just self-reported resumes.

Absolutely agree. Real-world economic incentives are key to driving meaningful onchain reputation. The shift from vanity to utility will be pivotal as it aligns reputation with tangible benefits, fostering genuine community engagement and value creation.
