the main drawback is that we can only build 1-2 things at a time, but we're okay with that

What benefits and drawbacks of that model have you experienced?

A doodler and computerer. I like permissive/permissionless open source, smart contracts, p2p systems, room-scale VR, and NixOS.

Though what you're probably trying to say is that there won't always be someone who cares for the specific version of software you might be using. But that's okay, its influence and contribution remains real forever.

I love obsidian and the data format focused legacy, but open source does live on forever. :)

I 100% Vibe with this. I used Evernote from the beginning for 10 years and it only got worse over time. Some products don't need to add new features forever to appease investors.

I love the mindset, and I love obsidian.
