Miele Classic Plus · dishwasher bought: 2019-06 cost per use to date: $2.16 I never thought I could love an appliance this much, an absolute joy to use every time. Extremely well-considered in all its details · a cutlery tray is a zillion times better than a basket.

While its cost per use is still high, I have no reason to think this dishwasher won't last at least another 10+ years and reach ~$0.50/use or less. Most of all this is a machine that provides such a time savings that the cost is worth the leverage it provides.

i had a miele in my last home and miss it dearly purchased my current home during the pandemic and had to take what i could get, and my samsung (sigh) dishwasher is already showing signs of failure

I live in a poor third world country, despite making relatively large sums of money affording not only the space to have one of these but the cost of owning one of these is so out of reach. Unironically so jealous. I live in the UK btw.
