don't understand this take because these people have no outsized control over Bitcoin they don't mine, they don't contribute code they just own BTC, like every other person on the other hand, the ETH braintrust has decided that trying to court "Institutions" is a good idea if you gonna call out BTC for being captured, hard to see how ETH is the alternative

As a financial freedom game. Full (relative ) capture. Not the network. The price. Ξ still could be. Google. Oracle. Meta. Azure. AWS. All for free. World computer. No gates. Value ‘can’ fully flow to the app layer. ₿ likes ₿. It’s a numbers go up game. Ξ has many shoots and layers. One pushing for usability. The other pushing for Valhalla.

It's hard to see BTC being a neutral global currency while a few individuals hold so much already, but I agree about Eth it's even worse. I still doubt the actual new world currency has been invented yet, I think we need a major collapse of the current world order then people will create it out of necessity. But I'm coming around more to BTC being a good option than I thought in the past.
