The Starforger’s Lantern In a world where the sky had no stars, the people lived by the dim glow of their own small fires, each flame jealously guarded. They called themselves the Ashbound, for their lives were tethered to the embers they tended, never daring to wander far from their hearths. Fear of the endless dark kept them small, their dreams no bigger than the flickering light they could carry. But the elders whispered of the Luminary, a figure from ancient tales who could forge stars from the raw stuff of hope. They said the Luminary was no god, but a mortal who had once walked among the Ashbound, carrying a lantern that burned with a light so fierce it could pierce the void.

The story went that the Luminary had vanished, leaving behind only the promise: “Seek the spark within, and you will light the sky.” In a village that scoffed at the old tales, a young woman named Kael burned brighter than most. One night, lost and weary, Kael found a cave. At its heart rested a rusted lantern, its glass cracked, its wick cold. When she touched it, her flame jumped to the lantern, igniting a blaze not of fire, but of courage and defiance. The cave walls shimmered, revealing carvings of a figure who once carried that light—who had forged stars not from magic, but from will.

I like the sound of "the ashbound" https://paragraph.com/@luminaries/the-myth-wip Have you read "They Myth So Far" blog post? Where do you see this fitting in? What other characters or storylines do they interact with?
