Love for a child is different, although I wonder how much of that is cultural too

When kids died young more often people didn’t bother as much to get attached

I can definitely see status games around marriage. Unite the houses, cement the alliance type stuff.

But you don’t think two people can be mutually infatuated to the point of obsession? Even if it’s short lived? What about love for a child?
