There was an unenforced rule in sororities called the 2/3 rule. Hair, makeup, outfit... 2 of the 3 must be done before entering common areas. I’ve started doing it since I WFH and it’s boosted my mood, confidence, and routine.

The south is probably a lot crazier w appearances. For the sororities that enforced the rule at my school it seems like the threshold was really a measure of effort. Like does your hair look like you tried to style it? Did you at least put on mascara or lip gloss? Are you wearing real clothes or sweatpants?

My sorority didn’t care about the rule (tbh wish they did) but there were some sororities that were super strict and would fine girls for not following it.
