What is an example of a fake job and a real job to you

fake job: 
my cousin makes ~100k doing middle management at big corp where her role is mostly relaying emails and sitting in a few meetings. in her words: “making sure she is felt so that boss doesn’t realize she doesn’t do anything”

real job: 
best friend is a chef who ran a kitchen of 30+. now is admin managing menus, food purchases for 6 restaurants across three cities. prob makes same (or less) than my cousin.

on some level, every job is a real job since it fills some role regardless of how ‘useless’ one thinks it is.

otoh, fake to real is a spectrum. two dimensions to weigh fakeness:

- if was removed, would it break anything
- how easy it is for it be automated

also all v dynamic. the dude managing the elevator was critical until he wasn’t.
