I’m a sucker for decline-ist content. This is good IS THIS THE WORST-EVER ERA OF AMERICAN POP CULTURE? https://archive.is/2QNas I’ll spare you my editorialization and just share that I’m NYT Games friends with the 25 y/o culture critic in this article, Kieran Press-Reynolds. I saw on X he was posting crazy Mini times and messaged him. I didn’t even know his deal or that he had famous parents. In case you can’t tell I love to compete with people on little crosswords At one point it became an obsession in my family chat to see if I had “beat Kieran” He might be brain rotted but he whips at the Mini 🧠

I have the screenshots because of course I told him he had become an object of fixation and my whole family thought he was a crossword God

Have you tried the LinkedIn games? Very competitive, especially with all of their games being timed. I'm not big on the crossword but I've gotten to the point where I play Connections at a meta level where I'm trying to complete each one in the 'hardest' way possible (according to their bot analysis lol)

What stucks with me from this is: A 25-yr old culture critic listens to ~30secs of music to make a so-called professional critic/review. Makes me sad because there is still so much work into making music, and I know we are in the AI-made music era when a whole new track is made out of a single prompt, yet… There is so much value out of music as an art form, at least for me.
