I can’t stop thinking about this. It’s truly insane we are so… what? Fat? Complacent? Stupid? Something? that it is plainly stated to us all the time — they take from you, to enrich themselves — and everyone just shrugs

Kenny I know you drool reflexively at the thought of being a bitcoin oligarch but bosses not paying workers has nothing to do with this

if capital can make more money by simply having money the rich don't have to take risks in business a world where rich people have to constantly build, innovate, and compete with other rich people to preserve their wealth is one where they have to pay people more turn off the easy money spigot

The underlying financialization here does not go away if you change the money?

the game of finance isn't the issue, the issue is that certain people have an unfair advantage in the game because they have privileged access to the money spigot the rich have direct relationships with central banks and can use that access to make it easier to make money off their money you remove that spigot entirely and replace it with a system where no one has privileged access to changes in the money supply (Bitcoin) you create a fairer game

Classic hammer meets nail maximalism. This is a structural, not a monetary issue This is not saying money is being printed recklessly or that prices are out of control. It’s about power/priorities in corporations. Bitcoin does not fix wage suppression and hard capped money does not inherently shift value back to labor

let's talk in a vacuum in a situation where there are two scenarios a) it's easy to make money off money (widespread access to safe investments that return an attractive APR) b) it's not easy to make money off money (no lending opportunities, you have to deploy your capital, produce things, and hope to sell at a profit) would you agree that scenario B is better for workers?
