Marketplaces that allow you to give away free stuff should let you charge if people don't show. It's free unless you don't come in which is $20. They're almost unusable as is because no-shows are so common.

@ethglobal used to ask people to stake a very small amount of ETH. If they show up, the ETH is returned. All transparent and onchain. They had a great show up ratio!

doable on tokenproof and many other ticketing services. in order to reserve one spot for the apefest i had to pay a refundable deposit of 169 usd.

Absolutely Dealing with no-shows can be incredibly frustrating. It's like everyone's time is valuable except theirs. Implementing a small charge for no-shows could definitely help make these marketplaces more reliable for everyone involved @kam
