another interesting theme in free agency: the emphasis on size feels like there’s a renewed emphasis on two big lineups where one can stretch the floor and the other is more defense/rim protection. holmgren/hartenstein, sengun/adams, reid/gobert were early pairings that saw lots of success. this free agency, it seems like there’s more teams that want 2-3 bigs on their rosters. the spurs grabbed kornet, the bucks went big with turner, the rockets tripled down with capela. is this the new standard and are small ball lineups a thing of the past now?

You’re absolutely right! The success of Holmgren/Hartenstein pair made everyone reconsider driving in the paint and it even helps when your bigs can shoot 3’s. Definitely seeing a shift from small lineups.
