The most surprising thing so far has been his control. He always had the stuff but couldn’t hit the strike zone with any consistency in the minors. Tonight he only walked 1, on a borderline 3-2 pitch to Ohtani.

yeah, if this is his new level of control. he’s going to end up better than skenes next year. now, he really just needs to build up his workload and likely add some bulk to withstand a full year as a starter.
