this seems like a really good “gotcha” but unfortunately not supported by the data, here’s 2022 and 2023: U.S. heat-related deaths in 2022 (1,722): https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11348089/ U.S. heat-related deaths in 2023 (2,325): https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11348089/ likely underreported but still nowhere near the numbers in the EU despite higher temps in the U.S., particularly in the south.

spain with 45M population has 8K deaths per year related with heat i am 100% sure, this data is underrrported, fakez or they use different measures to determine what is a heat related death

agreed that it’s underreported, but even if it’s 5x lower than reality it’s still far lower than the EU rate per capita. EU has ~20% households with AC, U.S. has ~90% households with AC. probably similar statistics for public buildings, businesses, etc. we have solutions to this problem, it’s not a mystery. these stats are especially sad given the state of U.S. healthcare i.e. you aren’t given treatment if you can’t afford it, whereas EU citizens don’t have this issue.

I don't think US does proper research to certify cause of deaths

agreed, but hard to say to what extent it’s underreported. could be 2x, 5x, 10x (or more). if 10x, then that’s roughly parity with the EU rate per capita. though applying that same logic makes one wonder why EU politicians don’t care about lives either since only 1/5 people live with the dignity of reasonable temperatures indoors.
