Perspective is Everything

A man dedicated years to building his dream home for his family—every brick laid with love and sacrifice. Just days before they were set to move in, an earthquake leveled it all.
The next morning, as friends and neighbors came to offer their support, the man showed up with a smile, handing out sweets.

Taken aback, someone asked, 

How can you celebrate after losing everything?

He responded, I’m not celebrating the loss of a house I’m celebrating the gift of life. If the earthquake had struck just a day later, my family might not have made it. Homes can be rebuilt… but lives can’t be.
In life, we always have a choice
 to dwell on what’s been lost or to appreciate what’s been saved.
Gratitude doesn’t erase pain it turns it into strength.
