Hah. Ironically this is actually not the reason why. I apologize mainly because I want to be the kind of person who apologizes when I believe that I’m in the wrong. And I fundamentally don’t care if the thing is sentient or not or ever will be. It’s more about cultivating a certain attitude towards others and believing that How I interact with them ultimately matters
