First of all, my impression reading  Simulacra and Simulation — my first reaction: Jean Baudrillard is such an edgelord, jaysus christ

Then all of a sudden - I rememberd reading long ago that the creators of the matrix were inspired by it and I was wondering what it was all about. Then I read the chapter on “Clone Story”. This idea of the information-fication of reproduction. The absence of sex as an act itself and how it becomes useless or as a ritualistic act is devoid of meaning, of tying it to Walter Benjamin and art in the age of reproduction.
