Perspectives are interesting I’m often fascinated by how different people with different backgrounds will take the same event that takes place and see it and interpret through a different lens. The lens is an accumulation who you are (nature) but also a sediment of what you’ve experienced and who you’ve become over time (both positive experiences and also often trauma)

This gets increasingly complicated when you think that what you’re saying is something that you came up with but rather you are echoing what has been said I’d say ideas and any information fundamentally is really going to have noise the more it gets transmitted as per Shannon‘s information theory I guess that’s why social media is kind of complicated and often an The echo chamber because you’re playing a game of telephone but emotionally and informationally

We also like to use terms loosely like first principles or primary source, but there’s also a certain kind of loss even in the individual of themselves who first reported the idea or came up with the concept. Often that something that’s model like a first principle is already going to simplify reality anyway. Which means that it’s not gonna apply to all circumstances situations Even a primary source is unreliable based on their biases other perspectives and lenses that they carry themselves

That isn’t to say that we shouldn’t strive to fight for a certain kinds of ideas or certain kinds of beliefs that we have or interpretations that we take. Perhaps the worst one can do is — have no perspective or position. Because that way, you end up the most disoriented. Maybe in someway even if you’re not fully right maybe you just have to take a stand or leave it something or else you’re just sort of floating around like a plastic bag being blown by the wind ending up in a landfill
