Yesterday, I got a message from a number saved on my phone under the name - mine - my phone had been inactive for a long time, but every time I turned it on, I’d see missed calls from that number I finally called back, a woman answered, she told me her husband, the person I had helped set up a mining system for about 4 years ago, had passed away in a car accident last year, so sadddd 😔 She said, all our assets were on his ledger and wallets… but I have nothing, no seed phrase, no pin, not even a clue! I’ve searched everything, his phone, laptop, notebooks, documents… nothing She was looking for a way,but unfortunately there’s nothing anyone can do We never know what tomorrow holds, If there’s someone you love, and you want them to inherit your digital assets when you’re gone, please make sure they have a secure copy of your wallet’s seed, ledger pin, or any other critical info, or at least a way to access it ( Crypto means true ownership, but ownership without access means total loss )

Before I got to the end, I thought you were about to say someone tried to scam you through your phone That’s because something similar happened to someone when I first joined, someone had access to his device remotely from home, hacked his phone, and he lost all his assets. He left Warpcast back in November BTW, I just finished reading your post. That’s heartbreaking. Thanks for turning something so painful into a lesson for the rest of us Really makes you think. This is a real reminder: no access means no inheritance. Appreciate you sharing, it matters

I think it’s better to keep a recovery phrase in a safe, so your spouse or close ones can have access to it.
