even tho i was an onchain DAU i feel like i blacked out all of 2023 crypto

22-25 almost nothing worth remembering in crypto.

Random chains, random points, random tokens. Hardly any new users, (good, new) protocols, token projects, communities, founders. (To be fair: Infra progressed to a state that we can build normal apps with token integrations & wallet access)

Saw 2 tweets recently that summarize this time well:

> we made the wrong guys rich (extractors)
> only btc is an invest, everything else is a trade in crypto (fitting that qwqio a sol shitcoin / casino promoter wrote this one)

app ecosystem feels unique... even if it is running back 90's nostalgia currently. 

but agree. I was in Nouns the majority of teh time. nothing groundbreaking there either. some neat stuff. but nothing that is STOP THE PRESSES.

Base definitely stands out with what they built and who they attracted to their ecosystem.

Yet it doesn’t “feel” very different than other top l2s: hence also no groundbreaking new communities, protocols..

I’ve enjoyed the growth of base.
