Typical German weekend breakout would be some mountain around South Tyrol, straight to lago di garda, or to some wedding & wine sipping in Tuscany.

Ofc either milano or rome as well as some scenic coastline with beautiful views like cinque terre or amalfi coast would be on my one-italian-summer itinerary too.. But they get crowded & you’ll prob have more fun & unique xp, if you pay a visit to some of those premier locations and some smaller italian cities or places on the beach ..

Thanks for the response! Me and my wife are actually starting talks of maybe finding a vacation home in Italy and maybe even one day doing like a year long self employed visa stay. Very early but we continue to dream of living somewhere outside the US. Italy is one of my wife’s favorite places to go visit.
