I like the idea that future airdrops should take into account what a user did with past airdrops, its not popular in the industry though

don't like it. manifests bad practices. at most, public wallets should hold only a little bit of crypto - maybe to signal. selling is normal too. no need to give more airdrops to same 5 people, prefer to have more differentiated communities where different people steer the wheel & level up with success.

yep, it's the most obvious objective reasons + users doing other valuable things with airdropped tokens that don't reflect.. IF you check what people really do, they still stake their cosmos tokens to get airdrops despite everyone having lost all hope in the token itself. Similarly but worse, people stake on the new rollup as a service & modular money projects, to get random airdrops, while VCs dump on them. I do think there's value in targeting strong holders, potentially interested users, generally ecosystem supporters - but airdropp holding is 1 at best a small parameter to take into consideration. many others are better.

interesting that you are focusing on holding when I just said "what they do" (more general) also would say comparing Farcaster might be particularly well suited to different strategies given the size & nature of communities here

also, most repliers have assumed this strategy would benefit holders, when it could be structured instead to penalize sellers, or people who did not interact following the airdrop in general what I'm interested in is optimizing for continued use

my/others answer is totally biased from known/current behavior 🙂 Lazy answe towards different strategies: same same in a way. analyzing general behavior + all wallet actions makes more sense than focusing on (post-) airdrop behavior per wallet. RE continued use: 1️⃣ incentive to come initially (staged airdrop works - but specific use case for farcasters & word of mouth likely better/stickier than random airdrop) 2️⃣ come back regularly (can be anything like xp, token rewards, NFT, leaderboard ranking) 3️⃣ ultimately product needs to be better than others, be useful on its own for some user segment that you reach :) Tokens are a great incentive to get users but can cloud your pmf perception
